The CCB Young Artist Project (YAP)
November 5 @ 4:15 pm – 5:45 pm
Open to all aspiring young artists aged 11 to 16, the YAP was created by the Cornish Craft Barn’s (PGCE trained) Art Director, Damian Sémonin, to support young artists outside of their home study and school art sessions.
The project aims to provide a social network of peers for young artists to regularly meet, share, learn from, and be inspired by. The project will have an artist of the month and an art piece of the month, which will be rewarded with prizes from our developing young artists fund and have the option to sell their first works in our Cornish Craft Barn gallery.
Damian has developed a mini art syllabus (see above just a few of the topics to be covered) that the students can work through progressively over each academic term (with holiday workshops available in the future) or sign up for specific blocks throughout the year. Damian will lead the project sessions, with guest tutors and models brought in to inspire the students at regular intervals.
