DESCRIPTION:Welcome to one of our many Cornish Craft Barn Stitch Groups. We run several regular groups that meet once a month.  If you’re interested in joining one\, please contact us or book in to attend if we have spaces available.   \n\n\n\nThis is an all-day session where you can work on quilting projects on machines or by hand with other quilters who are looking to share ideas and experience and can provide guidance for each other – plus lots of lovely chat\, cake and coffee!  It is not a ‘tutored’ session but a room filled with abundant expertise from which to seek assistance. We can offer short demonstrations or mini projects from time to time if this is something the group decides they want!  \n\n\n\nThe session runs from 10am – 4pm but feel free to attend as much of this as you can to fit in with your other commitments. Lunch can be bought from the cafe with a 10% discount.  Plenty of parking outside and we can give you a hand to get your machines upstairs to the training room if needed.  \n\n\n\nWe have several new Janome quilting sewing machines available to borrow for the day if you need one or find it easier than bringing one in from home. The cost is £4 per day. DESCRIPTION:Bold\, fast and loose technique\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will spend a fun-filled half-day immersed in the world of acrylics for beginners\, which will include impasto techniques. We will establish a base set of acrylic painting skills and then deconstruct and simplify objects and references\, enabling us to capture them in acrylics using thickly laid passages of paint\, either with a brush or a palette knife. \n\n\n\nBy the end of the morning\, we will have developed confidence in using acrylics and also applying paint thickly to the canvas\, incorporating some on-canvas mixing and blending\, without creating a muddy texture. We’ll get a bit messy\, have loads of fun\, kickstart a new painting habit (and technique)\, and enjoy cake from the café! What could be better?
