Character\, story shape\, the page turn\, and the art that carries it. \nFridays 09:00–13:00 — 15 and 29 January\, 12 and 26 February — then the meet-up on 5 March\, at the Cornish Craft Barn. £160 for all five mornings. \nWhy a fortnight between. The work happens in the gap. A week is enough to start a page and not enough to finish one; two weeks is time to sit with it\, and the people who got the most out of the last run were the ones who had that. \n\n15 January — set the scene. Gear up\, get your project files together\, and build them with the rest of the group.\n29 January\, 12 and 26 February — develop your work in earnest\, a fortnight to draw between each.\n5 March — the monthly meet-up\, included as a bonus. You bring what you have made\, meet people who have done the Children’s Book Workshop before\, and show your new Children’s Book friends.\n\n\nEight seats\, beginners and improvers together.\nA short materials list before you start\, and a starter kit at cost if you would rather not buy your own yet.\nA one-page recap each session with the demonstration photos\, and the group’s own album.\n\nThe ladder: an Essentials half-day is the taster; a Series is where you get properly better at one thing; Studio mornings are the room to keep working in. \nBook your place →
