SUMMARY:Macramé Festive Decorations Workshop
DESCRIPTION:A special festive decoration workshop that focuses on the ancient art of Macramé. \nIn this workshop we will be making a few festive projects. There will be a choice of projects including: \n\nMini gift bags with Macramé decoration\nGift tags with Macramé decoration\nTree hangings including festive bows and berries\nReindeer tree decoration\n\nThis relaxed and friendly workshop is perfect for complete beginners as well as those looking for their next textile art project. The workshop will start at 1pm\, but attendees are more than welcome to leave at any time. Some of the projects are quick and others involve more intricate knotting. Projects will be chosen on the day depending on group size and abilities. \nUnder the guidance of Lucy\, you’ll be shown how to create festive projects to keep or gift. Some of the projects will use Macramé yarn as decorations and others will use more intricate knotting techniques. \n\nWhen: Wednesday 2nd December\, 1pm – 4pm\nPrice: £25 per adult\, includes all materials and tuition\n\nWhat’s included \n\nStep-by-step tuition in a fun and welcoming environment\nAll Macramé yarns and accessories provided\nYour own unique handmade crafts to take home\n10% discount off any café purchases on the day\n\nNo previous experience is necessary – absolute beginners are very welcome. If you catch the Macramé bug\, you’ll also find a selection of other Macramé craft kits available to purchase on the day. \nSpaces are limited so book early to secure your place. \nAbout the tutor \nLucy from Hearts and Pearls is a self-taught Macramé artist based in Falmouth. Grown from a hobby\, her business specialises in propagating rare trailing semi-succulent plants\, including the popular String of Hearts and Pearls\, and through this\, she first explored making decorative plant hangers from Macramé yarn. Having experimented with various projects over the years\, she now runs Macramé workshops in the local area. DESCRIPTION:Get creative with our Fused Glass Workshop at the Cornish Craft Barn.A hands-on\, relaxed workshop where you’ll learn the basics of fused glass and make 3 of your own colourful unique designs. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nDuring this relaxed and hands-on session\, you’ll learn how to cut\, layer and design glass to create your own unique pieces. You will make at least three beautiful glass projects to take home and treasure or gift to someone special.   \n\n\n\nProjects will be taken to be fired and will be usually ready to collect about a week later.  \n\n\n\nAll materials and tools are provided and no previous experience is needed –  just come along\, have fun and discover the magic of fused glass! \n\n\n\nYour tutor is an experienced Adult Education tutor who has been teaching glasswork for nearly fourteen years and academic courses for over seventeen years.
