SUMMARY:The Bee Garden – Stamp & Stitch Workshop with Trease Lane
DESCRIPTION:Create this beautiful Bee Garden panel using stamping techniques alongside the decorative stitches on your sewing machine. You don’t need an embroidery machine – just a sewing machine with a few decorative stitches. The bee itself is made using water-soluble fabric. \n\n\n\nAn exciting workshop for beginners and more experienced stitchers alike. \n\n\n\nThis workshop is taught by visiting textile artist Trease Lane\, who is travelling down from South Wales (she’s Cornish by birth!) to teach two days with us. Why not book both days? \n\n\n\nThe day\n\n\n\n\n10am – 4pm in our sewing studio\n\nMaximum 12 places\n\nSuitable for beginners and more experienced stitchers\n\nBring your own sewing machine\, or hire one of our Janome machines for the day (limited availability – add machine hire when you book)\n\nOur café is open all day for lunch\, coffee and cake – workshop students get 10% off in our café all day\n\n\n\n\nWhat to bring\n\n\n\n\n1 x fat quarter white fabric (you’ll be able to print as many as you like\, so bring extra!)\n\n1 x fat quarter felt or wadding\n\n1 x fat quarter Heat n Bond\n\n1 x fat quarter dissolvable (water-soluble) fabric\n\nThreads\, including metallic gold for the bee\n\nGold or silver metallic acrylic paint\n\nBeads\n\nSewing machine with some decorative stitches\, plus all your machine feet\n\nFlower stamps if you have any\n\n\n\n\nTrease will bring: 8″ hoops\, spider web net for the wings\, and her own flower and ink stamps for you to use. \n\n\n\nShop with us on the day: Heat & Bond (or Bondaweb)\, water-soluble fabric\, threads and fabrics are all available in our Coast & Country Crafts shop here at the Barn\, and workshop students get 10% off workshop supplies and all fabrics.

DESCRIPTION:Make a beautiful woodland picture using printing\, appliqué and stitch. You’ll use decolourant – a product that takes the colour out of fabric – to create your background. It’s like magic and very addictive\, so bring plenty of fabric because once you start it’s hard to stop! \n\n\n\nA lovely contrast to the Bee Garden day before – book both for two very different days of stitching. \n\n\n\nThis workshop is taught by visiting textile artist Trease Lane\, who is travelling down from South Wales (she’s Cornish by birth!) to teach two days with us.
