Whether you’re a seasoned pro or have never touched a sewing machine\, we’re launching a brand new monthly Bag Club. \n\n\n\nEvery month\, we’ll gather at the Barn to: \n\n\n\n\nWork on Your Own Projects: Bring that half-finished tote or that favorite repair you’ve been meaning to get to.\n\n\n\nThe Group Project: We’ll sometimes also work together on a simple\, fun bag project—perfect for learning new skills in a relaxed environment.\n\n\n\nTalk Shop: Hardware\, fabrics\, patterns\, and inspiration—all things bag-related!\n\n\n\nAccess our resources\, patterns\, industrial sewing machine\, overlocker\, rivet press etc to help your bag making get that professional edge.\n\n\n\n\nOn 28 April if you would like to take part we will be making a pocket tote bag\, this is optional if you want to work on your own projects that’s fine too. The tote bag doesnt need any hardward but will need : Lining/Outer: 1m\, Pockets: 0.7m Straps: 0.3m cotton fabric or straps or webbing\, Interfacing: 1m of fusible medium-weight interfacing.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome to one of our many Cornish Craft Barn Stitch Groups. We run several regular groups that meet once a month.  If you’re interested in joining one\, please contact us or book in to attend if we have spaces available.   \n\n\n\nThis is an all-day session where you can work on quilting projects on machines or by hand with other quilters who are looking to share ideas and experience and can provide guidance for each other – plus lots of lovely chat\, cake and coffee!  It is not a ‘tutored’ session but a room filled with abundant expertise from which to seek assistance. We can offer short demonstrations or mini projects from time to time if this is something the group decides they want!  \n\n\n\nThe session runs from 10am – 4pm but feel free to attend as much of this as you can to fit in with your other commitments. Lunch can be bought from the cafe with a 10% discount.  Plenty of parking outside and we can give you a hand to get your machines upstairs to the training room if needed.  \n\n\n\nWe have several new Janome quilting sewing machines available to borrow for the day if you need one or find it easier than bringing one in from home. Please book ahead or let us know if you need one so we make sure we have enough available. There is a small charge of £2 per day if you use a machine payable on the day. \n\n\n\nWe ask for payment quarterly in advance £15 per session\, so £45 which covers three sessions for you. If you can’t make a session you can use a credit up on any of the other Wheal monthly groups we run\, or carry one session over in any 6 month period.

Having experimented with various projects over the years\, she now runs Macramé workshops in the local area.
