If you’ve ever been curious to try something new (embroidery\, quilting\, mending\, whatever)\, this might be your kind of space. We have huge tables to lay out projects on or put quilts together on\, and sewing machines and overlockers you can use. The view’s not too bad either !!\n\n\n\nYou get to see what others are up to — it’s inspiring and encouraging\n\n\n\nWe also have air conditioning so the room has the right climate whatever the weather.

DESCRIPTION:Get creative with our Fused Glass Workshop at the Cornish Craft Barn.A hands-on\, relaxed workshop where you’ll learn the basics of fused glass and make 3 of your own colourful unique designs. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nDuring this relaxed and hands-on session\, you’ll learn how to cut\, layer and design glass to create your own unique pieces. You will make at least three beautiful glass projects to take home and treasure or gift to someone special.   \n\n\n\nProjects will be taken to be fired and will be usually ready to collect about a week later.  \n\n\n\nAll materials and tools are provided and no previous experience is needed –  just come along\, have fun and discover the magic of fused glass! \n\n\n\nYour tutor is an experienced Adult Education tutor who has been teaching glasswork for nearly fourteen years and academic courses for over seventeen years. Passionate about sharing her craft\, she’ll guide you step by step through the process\, offering plenty of tips and inspiration along the way. \n\n\n\nPlease note: \n\n\n\n\nWear old clothes and bring an apron\n\n\n\nNo open-toed shoes\, please\n\n\n\nLong hair must be tied back for safety\n\n\n\n\nCome and spend a joyful morning learning a new skill\, meeting like-minded makers\, and getting into the festive spirit. \n\n\n\n All materials included – no experience necessary! \n\n\n\nAbout the Tutor – Liz Simpson\n\n\n\nLiz Simpson is an experienced and passionate glass artist and Adult Education tutor. \n\n\n\nHer friendly\, hands-on approach makes learning both enjoyable and accessible\, whether you’re a complete beginner or a returning maker. Liz loves helping people discover the joy of working with glass; from the first satisfying score and snap to the sparkle of a finished piece fresh from the kiln. \n\n\n\nWhen she’s not teaching\, Liz continues to explore her own creative practice\, experimenting with colour\, light and texture to produce stunning glass artworks inspired by the beauty of the Cornish landscape.
