Lyodon is an in-demand artist and illustrator in London, with recent work on the front page of the Financial Times, no less! Working as an urban outdoor sketcher Lydon captures places and moments with vibrant and colourful fine liner pen and ink pieces and form the majority of his commissions.

A word from Lyndon :

My workshops are open to all abilities, from beginners to professionals and is designed to give every participant a one-to-one tuition in a relaxed environment. Topics will include:

• Building tone & texture into your sketch

• Choosing materials, to get the most out of your artworks
• Enhancing your sketching through blocks & shapes of colour for backgrounds

Lyndon works on a wide range of commercial commissions, from large institutions such as English Heritage to more editorial areas such as The Observer Monthly Magazine, while regularly exhibiting his paintings in London and further afield. He also lectures in illustration at the University of Derby and contributes to the MA online illustration course at Falmouth University.

Previous clients include English Heritage, The Guardian, Sunday Times, FT, New York Magazine, Le Monde, Royal Mail, Conde Nast, TimeLife-NYC, GQ/UK, Australia, Japan, France, Oprah Magazine, Mercedes, Wired Magazine, Evening Standard, Waitrose Food, You Magazine and FHM to name but a few.

Lyndon has also produced several short films in connection with his working practice as an urban outdoor sketcher and his recent experiences working with English Heritage in connection with a revamp of their visitor’s centre near Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland.
