Ready to take your sewing skills to the next level? Patchwork Skills is a 6-week course designed for those who have completed the introductory patchwork and quilting class or have a basic experience of patchworking and want to dive deeper into the art of patchwork. In this course, you will build on the fundamentals you’ve learned and explore new techniques to create stunning patchwork designs. From selecting fabrics to mastering piecing and quilting, this class will guide you through every step of the process, helping you develop the confidence and skills to create beautiful, intricate patchwork pieces.

The course starts on Tuesday 22 April and runs for 6 consecutive weeks. Starting at 10am and finishes at 12pm.
Who This Course is For:
This class is perfect for anyone who has completed an introductory patchwork course or has some basic sewing knowledge and is looking to advance their skills in patchwork and quilting. If you’ve enjoyed learning the basics and want to explore more complex projects, this class will provide the next step in your sewing journey.
By the End of the Course:
You’ll walk away with a completed patchwork ‘gift’ projects, or get started on a quilt project and also we’ll give you the knowledge to tackle even more intricate patchwork designs in the future. We’ll explore applique, foundation paper piecing and other patchwork methods. Whether you’re creating a treasured gift, a keepsake quilt, or simply honing your craft, this course will give you the skills to make beautiful, high-quality patchwork pieces.

Kit List
Fabric : A selection of fat quarters in a similar colour way, with some lights and darks, plains and patterned, or good quality 100% quilting cotton will be ideal for this course. Please don’t rush out and buy fabric; we have fabric you can use and you’ll have a good idea of what to bring each week after week 1.
Thread : 100% cotton thread in a neutral colour, I like pale grey, plae mushroomy or beige, these go with all colours.
Sewing Machine : If you have one you want to use please bring it; including a 1/4” patchwork foot (if you have one) don’t forget its cable, foot pedal and instruction manual. We have Janome machines you can borrow, please let us know if required.
