This session will explore watercolour portraiture and focus on the following:
- Simplify your chosen portrait photo
- Create a value study
- Use tonal values to paint what we see (not what the brain thinks it’s seeing)
- Working from light to dark, a likeness will be revealed!
- How to simplify your scenes and photos
We will then combine our newly acquired and/or refined skills to produce a final piece of work. As always, we will be keen to display your work on our Amateur Artists Gallery wall in the Cornish Craft Barn, and you can even sell your finished work from the gallery space!
