Life Drawing – July

Welcome to CCB Life Drawing & Portraiture, where we foster creativity and camaraderie, following the Cornish Craft Barn motto, Relax ~ Refuel ~ Unwind. In addition to learning to draw, this life drawing class is an ideal opportunity to meet other people and unwind at the end of the day.
Materials. Yours & Ours: Please come with your own materials to draw with and draw on or a sketchbook to draw in. We can supply everything you need for your first life drawing visit and have materials available for purchase in our retail area, but we request that you come prepared for future sessions. We can provide paper and sketchbooks for purchase and will have some paper to hand if you forget your pad. If you have any favourite drawing tools or materials, please use them and bring them with you.
Diverse Models: We have a diverse roster of models which provide experience and opportunity for you to explore various body types, poses, and perspectives. During these life drawing experiences, models will perform quick and varied poses and then finish with a couple of 25-35 minute poses for more finished pieces. This way, you will learn how to draw the human figure in multiple views.
Open to All Skill Levels: Our classes are open to artists of all skill levels, from beginners looking to start their artistic journey to advanced artists seeking to refine their skills. Each drawing session is untutored but follows a peer-to-peer learning style, in which we all learn from the artwork produced in the class. Complete beginners are welcome to take part in this class and will be given plenty of support to get the best out of the session.
Refreshments: The Barn café provides food and drink for each session’s mini breaks and social intervals included in the class cost!
Dedicated WhatsApp Group: We have a CCB Life Drawing WhatsApp group for sharing resources and life drawing social chat to complement the sessions and learn from each other.
