Ready to unleash your creativity and learn a practical skill? Stitch It Together is a 6-week beginner’s sewing course designed to guide you through the essentials of sewing, one stitch at a time. Whether you’re looking to repair clothing, create your own wardrobe, or dive into the world of DIY projects, this course will give you the confidence and skills to start sewing.
By the end of this hands-on course, you’ll be equipped to tackle a variety of projects and sew with ease. Great British Sewing Bee here we come!
Details
The course starts on Monday April 20th and runs for 6 weeks. Starting at 10am and finishing at 1pm. Skips a week for May Bank Holiday and on the 18 May the time will be 1pm – 4pm
Course Overview
Stitch It Together is the perfect starting point for anyone who’s ever wanted to learn how to sew. Over six workshops, you’ll get hands-on experience with a variety of essential techniques, all taught in a supportive, fun, and beginner-friendly environment.
Who This Course is For
This course is designed for absolute beginners with little to no sewing experience. If you’re looking to build confidence with sewing, or just want to learn a new skill for fun or practicality, this course is for you!
By the End of the Course
You’ll walk away with a solid understanding of basic sewing techniques and a completed project that showcases your new skills. Each workshop will include a new skill, and a practical application of that to make something to go home with. We’ll be covering all the stitches on your machines, maintenance, patchwork basics, applique basics, fabric manipulation, fabric choices, equipment leaving you with the knowledge to continue with your new very addictive hobby!

Kit List
Fabric: If you have some fabric already you wish to use please bring it with you. Approximately 8 fat quarters would be ideal.
Thread: 100% cotton thread in a neutral colour
Sewing Machine: If you have one you want to use please bring it, or we have Janome machines you can borrow.
Basic Sewing Kit: Scissors, Needles, Cotton thread, Pencil and notebook. Don’t rush out and buy these! We have them to borrow or for sale in our shop.
