Botanical Collage Workshop – Carla Jennings

Join me as we dive into the beautiful world of hand painted collage papers.

Over the course of the day, you’ll learn how to create your own unique papers, then use them to build a striking mini-series of compositions.

This workshop focuses on the exciting process of material making and mindful composition.

What you’ll learn:

• The use of a limited colour palette
• Experiment with interesting ways to create exciting marks & patterns
• How to print with fresh foliage & create organic decorative elements
• How to find balance & movement in your compositions
• Various ways to bring depth to your finished pieces

Supplies List is as follows:

Essential

• Acrylic paint – black, white & your favourite blue, yellow & red
• Any papers you have lying around – eg, old books, packaging paper, wallpaper scraps, envelopes etc
• Any size paintbrushes you have 
• An A3 sheet of thick paper or card
• Scissors

Optional

• Coloured pencils
• Posca pens or fineliners in different colours
