Vintage Succulent Teacup Garden & Macramé Sunflower Workshop
October 12 @ 1:00 pm – 3:45 pm

Our first session will include a short overview of the trailing semi-succulents grown by local business Hearts and Pearls, who specialise in the propagation of Strings of Hearts and Pearls. You will be given tips on how to care for and propagate these rare succulents and where best to place them in your home. There will be an element of choice on this workshop.
The actual planting process is relatively quick, so the second half of the workshop will be a Macramé session in keeping with the floral theme, making a sunflower keychain. This relaxed and friendly workshop is perfect for those interested in house plants and wanting to create a sustainable gift from a preloved vintage teacup and saucer. In the second half, under the guidance of Lucy, you’ll learn a few basic knots and techniques of Macramé and go home with a floral-inspired Sunflower keychain.

About the tutor
Lucy from Hearts and Pearls is a self-taught Macramé artist based in Falmouth. Grown from a hobby, her business specialises in propagating rare trailing semi-succulent plants, including the popular String of Hearts and Pearls, and through this, she first explored making decorative plant hangers from Macramé yarn. Having experimented with various projects over the years, she now runs Macramé workshops in the local area. She designs tutorials for others to learn the basics of this historic art form, some of which are available to purchase in the Craft Barn gift shop.
