Yarnbomber Bag Making Workshop
March 4, 2027 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Make your own Yarnbomber bag by Country Cow Designs in this relaxed one-day bag-making workshop. A roomy, structured tote with a clever yarn feed, it’s perfect for knitters and crocheters – or just use it as a gorgeous everyday tote.
You’ll be guided step by step through cutting, interfacing, inserting the zip, fitting the grommet and yarn guide, attaching the webbing handles and finishing your bag, with plenty of tips along the way.
Your ticket includes your own licensed copy of the Yarnbomber PDF pattern (RRP £9), bought from the designer, Jo at Country Cow Designs, for each person attending. We’ll email it to you before the workshop, and if you’d like a printed A4 copy just let us know – it can be collected from the barn.
Interfacing & Hardware Kit (optional add-on)
Add the kit to your booking (see tickets below) and everything will be ready for you on the day. Kits must be ordered by Thursday 25 February (7 days before the workshop) so we can collect the materials in time. The kit includes:
- Medium weight woven interfacing (G700)
- Thermolam fusible fleece stabiliser
- No.5 zip tape and zip pull
- 10mm grommet and 30mm split ring
- 2.25m of 25mm webbing for the handles, in your choice of colour
Choose your colours: if you add the kit, please email rachel@cornishcraftbarn.com when you book with your webbing colour, zip colour and hardware finish. Not sure? Pop into the shop to see our webbing, zip and hardware samples and match them to your fabric.
If you’d rather source your own, you’ll need 230cm medium weight woven interfacing (G700/SF101 or similar), 50cm Thermolam 971F or similar high loft fusible fleece, 60cm No.5 zip tape and pull, a 10mm grommet, a 30mm split ring and 224cm of 2.5cm (1″) webbing for the handles.
