The Bee Garden – Stamp & Stitch Workshop with Trease Lane
April 7, 2027 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Create this beautiful Bee Garden panel using stamping techniques alongside the decorative stitches on your sewing machine. You don’t need an embroidery machine – just a sewing machine with a few decorative stitches. The bee itself is made using water-soluble fabric.
An exciting workshop for beginners and more experienced stitchers alike.
This workshop is taught by visiting textile artist Trease Lane, who is travelling down from South Wales (she’s Cornish by birth!) to teach two days with us. Why not book both days?
The day
- 10am – 4pm in our sewing studio
- Maximum 12 places
- Suitable for beginners and more experienced stitchers
- Bring your own sewing machine, or hire one of our Janome machines for the day (limited availability – add machine hire when you book)
- Our café is open all day for lunch, coffee and cake
What to bring
- 1 x fat quarter white fabric (you’ll be able to print as many as you like, so bring extra!)
- 1 x fat quarter felt or wadding
- 1 x fat quarter Heat n Bond
- 1 x fat quarter dissolvable (water-soluble) fabric
- Threads, including metallic gold for the bee
- Gold or silver metallic acrylic paint
- Beads

Trease will bring: 8″ hoops, spider web net for the wings, and her own flower and ink stamps for you to use.
